Hello All!

As I sit down in Illinois getting ready for the first firearm deer season, I thought I would provide a short update on where we are with ice fishing. We have one sleeper and our day house all ready to go to hit the ice! We are going to pickup our second sleeper for the 2025 season next week!

We do have a few changes for this hardwater season, all of which are going to make things a lot better than previous years! The biggest change, or upgrade, is the addition of a Polaris Ranger crew cab side by side! This will allow us to get on the ice sooner and get clients out to the houses if we cannot drive vehicles out yet. The second change, which will effect everyone, is we are no longer providing bait. We will provide bait coolers in every house for your personal use, but you will be responsible for bringing your own bait. This will allow clients to bring whatever minnows they prefer to use and aren’t forced to use what we provide. The third item is another addition, we will be providing wheelhouse spots for this hardwater season. We did a few last season and they were very appreciated by the groups so we will be offering more! Clients that used our wheelhouse spots had great success fishing including a few very big walleyes!

The ice season will be here before we know it! If you want to get out in a sleeper on Lake Vermilion don’t hesitate to reach out! I have one house open January 30th weekend and two houses open February 6th weekend! We do have a bunch of midweeks still available which can be a great time with less traffic out on the lake!

If you have any questions, want to book an ice castle, or an open water trip, call or text (218) 404-9200 anytime! Stay tuned for ice updates started December 8th once I return to the Northwoods! We will be posting once or twice a week during the hardwater season just like during open water! Once the new boat arrives in January we will be posting video and picture updates on the rigging as we gear up for the 2026 open water season! Give us a call or text and lets go catch some fish!

As always,

Tight Lines!
