Water temp: 70-74

We had a very good week of fishing this week on the V! The bite and weather has been steady nearly all week and the results show!!

Our best bite was in 17-24’ of water dragging Lindy’s with crawlers! Sand humps and breaks are all holding fish. Per usual this time of year, it is a very short bite window for us but during those first few hours of daylight and the last few hours of daylight you can really stack them up fast! Getting out early is key to getting bites and beating the crowds!

Yes there is a “leadcore bite” right now. No it’s worth our time to do it or try to find it. It’s been hit or miss but mostly miss right now as the over night temps are warm and the fish are still in the sand. Just because you see me pulling lead doesn’t mean we are catching.

We had a ton of awesome people in the boat this week and we have a bunch more on the way next week! The fishing is only going to get better as the days go on! The weather looks to be consistent for the next two weeks so the fishing will remain very good!

The absolute best time of year is almost here on Vermilion!! Fall is only a few short weeks away and the fishing is starting to get hot! Now is the time to book a trip and have a blast on the water! Lindy rigging and jigs right now but soon enough the lead core bite will be going and that’s the best time to get the whole family out to catch some fish! Those are the remaining dates for mornings trip for the entire month of August! I have plenty of evenings left in August as of right now.
